Pedestrian OD matrices
You can enter the pedestrian travel demand for origin-destination relations, i.e. the demand from origin areas to destination areas. This way, you need not define pedestrian inputs and pedestrian routes in the network. The origin-destination relations between pedestrian areas are displayed in the pedestrian OD matrix. In the matrix, you enter the hourly pedestrian volume for each origin-destination relation.
Based on a pedestrian OD matrix, you can save origin-destination data to files during the simulation run (Saving pedestrian travel time measurements from OD data to a file), (Saving pedestrian record to a file or database).

Note: Viswalk then internally generates the pedestrian inputs and routing decisions including static pedestrian routes, if these are not available for the origin-destination relation. Thereby the volumes entered are taken into account. |
