Using cloud models

Notes: To use cloud models, you must have a corresponding license (Using a PTV Hub license).

You must have a user account, a Username, and a Password for PTV Hub. Enter this data as part of the registration process for PTV Hub (Signing in to PTV Hub with a PTV user account).

The first time you access PTV Hub, you are required to activate a subscription. The subscription is fee-based depending on its scope and content. Manage your subscriptions in your PTV user account.

You can store the Visum network and associated files as a cloud model on a cloud server (Saving a network as a cloud model). You can download a cloud model stored on a cloud server together with the associated files, save it locally, and then open the Visum network in Visum (Opening a cloud model).

Data from evaluations and simulation runs are stored locally. Back up this data, even outside the cloud, when you upload the cloud model.

You can also upload scenario management projects. In this process, the entire project with the scenario management database, the base model, and all scenarios is uploaded as a cloud model.

Notes: You must save the scenario management project for use in PTV Hub in English and then convert it to the latest version of Visum if necessary. You must convert all files in the project, not just the files you want to upload to PTV Hub. Otherwise no upload is possible (Notes on converting projects).
