Saving a network as a cloud model

You can store the opened Visum network and associated files as a cloud model on a cloud server. You can enter a new name for the cloud model. This way you can also upload an open cloud model to PTV Hub.

This is also possible for scenario management. In this process, the entire scenario management project with the scenario management database, the base model and all scenarios is uploaded as a cloud model.

Notes: You must save a scenario management project for use in PTV Hub in English and then convert it to the latest version of Visum if necessary. You must convert all files in the project, not just the files you want to upload to PTV Hub. Otherwise no upload is possible (Notes on converting projects).

1.  Make sure that you have a PTV user account, an e-mail address, and a Password for PTV Hub.

Enter this data as part of the registration process (Signing in to PTV Hub with a PTV user account).

2.  Return to Visum.

3.  From the File menu, choose Save cloud model as.

The Save model as window opens.

4.  If necessary, edit the model name.

5.  Select the working directory of your choice.

You can set the local working directory as the default working directory for all other cloud models. You can also undo this setting again (Using default working directories for working copies of cloud models)

6.  Confirm with OK.

The cloud model is uploaded and opened. You are marked as a user in the PTV Hub. The marker is removed as soon as you sign out. The cloud model can be downloaded when the user account is accessible.
