Editing vehicle journey items

You can edit the run times, stop times, and the items of one or several vehicle journeys independently of their line routes and time profiles. In the course of this, Visum automatically creates necessary new line routes and/or time profiles based on existing ones. The name of a new time profile consists of the name of the original time profile and a suffix _n. The program increments n from 1 until it finds a name that is not yet used.

If a vehicle journey is alone on a time profile, yet several time profiles exist on the same line route, Visum copies the line route only. The time profile is shifted to the new line route.

This function is available in the Network editor, the Timetable (graphical), the timetable (tabular) windows, the Vehicle journeys list and via the shortcut menu of the marked vehicle journeys.

1.  Mark the vehicle journey(s) you want to edit (Marking vehicle journeys).

2.  Right-click one of the marked vehicle journeys.

3.  Select Edit vehicle journey items or Edit items....

The Edit vehicle journey items window opens. It contains information on the marked vehicle journeys and the time profiles concerned. Depending on your selection, different information is shown and different steps are required.
