Defining a normal distribution
In addition to empirical distributions, you can define normal distributions for the following distributions and enter values for standard deviation and mean:
- Time (Attributes of time distributions)
- Occupancy (Attributes of occupancy distributions)
- Free distribution (Attributes of free distributions)
1. On the Base data menu, click > Distributions and select one of the three distributions.
The Distributions list opens.
2. In the list, on the toolbar, click the Add button .
A new row with default data is inserted.
The Distribution window opens.
3. In the Type list box, select > Normal.
4. Enter the desired values for Standard deviation and Mean.
5. Confirm with OK.
The distribution is displayed in the Distributions list.
