Using the line construction procedure, which is integrated into scenario management, Visum calculates suggestions for an efficient public transport supply in an existing network with stop points and demand (Fundamentals: Line construction). Several good suggestions are calculated and saved as scenarios.
1. Create a project in scenario management with a base version (Creating a project for scenario management)
2. Make sure that the base version contains the following (Fundamentals: Structure of the base model):
- Potential demand for public transport supply, including network connectors
- Demand for public transport
- Infrastructure: A network accessible to the public transport system and all serviceable stop points. Possible end stop points must be defined using an attribute.
- An attribute that can incorporate the resulting headway.
3. In the Edit project window, click the Scenarios tab.
4. Select the scenario of the base version.
5. Click the 
Construct lines symbol.
The Construct lines window opens.
6. Make the desired changes (Setting the line construction parameters).
