Vissim route export

Note: The Vissim route export is only available after you activate the Vissim export add-on ( Enabling or disabling add-ons).

In Vissim route export the paths from a PrT assignment are exported as routes, whereby the route points are described by their coordinates. You can either create static routes or paths and a matrix for dynamic assignments.

1. From the File menu, choose > Export. Then select Vissim route export (co-ordinates).

The Vissim route export (co-ordinates) window opens.

2. Make the desired changes.

Route files	Routes Select the directory and enter the desired path or click the Browse button . The settings are saved to an .rcf route coordinates file. The coordinates of the link courses are saved in the file. Export matrices If this option has been selected, the demand matrices of the current network are saved to an ANM route file .anmRoutes. Round demand If the option has been checked, you can set the number of decimal places to which you want to round the demand. The values of the exported matrices are rounded consistently with the route volumes. Note The method used is “bucket rounding", which ensures that total demand is maintained as far as possible.
Simulation time interval	Enter the beginning and the end of a time interval for the Vissim simulation period under From and To in the time format (hh:mm:ss). Notes The beginning and the end of the time interval may fall on two consecutive days as long as the period does not exceed 24 hours. If you use a calendar, you also need to select a day of the week or a date (Selecting a calendar ).
Transport systems	Select the desired PrT transport systems for export from the list.

The routes are saved. The *.rcf file can then be imported into Vissim.

Note: In contrast to ANM import, Vissim ignores node numbers after a route export and instead generates the routes or paths that best match the geographical route coordinates from the *.rcf file.
