You can normalize all surfaces in the network. In this process, the sizes of the surfaces are calculated correctly (Fundamentals: Multi-part surfaces).
You only need this functionality if you have previously read in a network or a shapefile without normalizing the surfaces (Opening and saving a network file and adding comments and Importing Shapefiles).
1. From the Edit menu, choose Surfaces > Normalize surfaces (self-intersecting test).
The Normalize surfaces (self-intersecting test) window opens.
2. Select the desired option for the network object types.
