Editing the demand of EVA-P demand strata

You can edit the production and attraction values calculated by means of EVA trip generation and further data by demand stratum (Calculating EVA trip generation).

1.  From the Demand menu, choose Demand models.

The Demand models window opens.

2.  Select the Demand strata tab.

3.  In the Select demand model list, click the demand model of your choice.

4.  In the list, select the demand stratum whose production and attraction rate values you would like to edit.

5.  Click the Productions/Attractions button.

The Define productions/attractions window opens.

6.  Make the desired changes.

Production

Number of trips starting from the given zone by demand stratum

EVA trip generation calculates this value. If no hard constraints have been defined, it can also be calculated by EVA distribution/mode choice (Calculating EVA trip generation and Calculating EVA trip distribution and mode choice).

Attraction

Number of trips heading to the given zone by demand stratum

EVA trip generation calculates this value. If no hard constraints have been defined, it can also be calculated by EVA distribution/mode choice (Calculating EVA trip generation and Calculating EVA trip distribution and mode choice).

Home trips

Number of trips by demand stratum, starting from the particular zone and ending there

The value is calculated in the EVA trip generation step (Calculating EVA trip generation).

Production target

Number of trips by demand stratum starting from the particular zone, the value is calculated in the EVA trip generation step before constraints are regarded (Calculating EVA trip generation and Defining constraints).

Attractions target

Number of trips by demand stratum heading to the particular zone, the value is calculated in the EVA trip generation step before constraints are regarded (Calculating EVA trip generation and Defining constraints).

Balance factor productions

Factor which is calculated optionally when solving the trilinear equation system during EVA distribution/mode choice for the production side (Fundamentals: EVA trip distribution and mode choice)(Calculating EVA trip distribution and mode choice).

Balance factor attractions

Factor which is calculated optionally when solving the trilinear equation system during EVA distribution/mode choice for the attraction side (Fundamentals: EVA trip distribution and mode choice)(Calculating EVA trip distribution and mode choice).

7.  Confirm with OK.

The edited values are stored with the demand stratum

Tips: Alternatively, you can edit production and attraction rates of demand strata by zone (Zones: DStrata tab), or via menu Demand > Demand models > tab Constraints > button Productions/attractions or in displayed lists (Viewing the demand of EVA-P demand strata in lists).
