Displaying route courses in the network editor window

You can configure the display of line routes or lines in the Network editor window (Fundamentals: Displaying route courses). You can, for example, display each line in a different color and label them with attributes.

Note: You can additionally show line bars along lines (Configuring the display of a line bar).

1.  From the Graphics menu, choose Edit graphic parameters.

The Edit graphic parameters window opens.

2.  In the navigator, select the Route course entry.

3.  Make the desired changes.

Draw layer route course

If the option has been selected, line routes can be displayed.

Aggregation level

PuT line route courses can be displayed on five levels. Here you can select the desired level of detail:

  • Transport systems
  • Main lines
  • Lines
  • Line routes
  • Operators

Note

You can make this setting on all three pages of the route course display. It is transferred to the other pages.

Draw only active line routes

If the option has been selected, passive line routes are not displayed.

Note

Aggregation level Line routes must be selected to display active line routes.

Where shall lines preferably cross?

Here you can specify whether lines shall preferable cross at nodes with multiple legs or at nodes with two legs and link stop points.

4.  Select the Route course > Display page.

5.  Make the desired changes.

Select the desired level of detail.

All entries in the list are drawn.

No entries in the list are drawn.

Use the icon to find an object of the selected aggregation level (transport system, main line, line, line route, operator) and mark it in the list.

You can use the icon to restrict the list to the active objects of the selected aggregation level.

Draw

If the option has been selected, the respective route course is displayed.

Notes

Under Edit all > Visibility, you can check or uncheck all objects at once.

You can also control this property with the space bar.

Display

You can select an individual color for each line in a separate window. To do so, click in the box (Setting the line style properties).

Note

Under Edit all > Line style properties, you can specify settings for all objects at once.

6.  If required, select an option under Edit all.

Note: Use the button to change the color, width or visibility of all objects.

Depending on the selected option, a window opens.

7.  Make the desired changes.

Line style properties

Here you define how the attribute values are displayed in the network.

Constant

If the option has been selected, the set display is applied to all objects of the chosen level. To select a display, click in the field (Setting parameters for the line style).

Like transport system/main line/line

If the option has been selected, the setting for the corresponding transport system, main line or line is applied to the Display column.

Visibility

Here you can specify the options that you want to set in the Draw column of the list of objects.

Check all

If the option is selected, all objects are checked in the Draw column.

Uncheck all

If the option is selected, no objects are checked in the Draw column.

Check active ones exclusively

If the option has been selected, the options in the Draw column are checked for all active objects and unchecked for all passive objects.

Note

The option is only available for network objects which can be passive.

The setting of the passive objects is not affected by it.

Like transport system/main line/line

If the option has been selected, the setting for the corresponding transport system, main line or line is applied to the Draw column.

Color

Color source

Here you can specify the color of the line style display for all objects.

Constant

If the option has been selected, the set color is applied to all objects of the chosen level. Select the desired color by clicking the field.

Different colors per object

If the option has been selected, each object has a different color.

Like transport system/main line/line

If the option has been selected, the color of the corresponding transport system, main line or line is applied to the Display column.

Use color for

This option is available if a line style display with multiple layers is set for at least one object.

Border

If the option has been selected, the color is used for the border. The border color corresponds to the color of the lowermost line style layer.

Fill style

If the option has been selected, the color is used for the fill style. The fill style corresponds to the color of the topmost level with a color different from the lowermost level. All layers with the same color as the selected color are set to the new color.

Line width

Here you can specify the desired line width for all objects.

8.  Confirm with OK.

9.  Select the Route course > Label page.

10.  Make the desired changes.

If the option has been selected, the displayed objects are labeled.

Use the button to select an attribute to be displayed as label.

Specify further options for the label, if required.

Note

A Preview displays the label according to the current settings.

Use text color of line style

If the option has been selected, the color of the line display is used for the label.

11.  Confirm with OK.

The route courses are displayed according to your chosen settings.

Notes: If a section is traversed by multiple lines or line routes, they are drawn in parallel.

If a section is traversed multiple times, only one line is displayed.
