Parameters of Multimodal assignment
Element |
Description |
DSegCode |
Code of the demand segment to which the following elements apply |
ResultPathSequenceSetNo |
Number of the path sequence set to which the procedure adds the paths |
MaxDirectDistShareFeeder |
Value of the share of the direct distance between origin zone and destination zone, which may be traveled on feeders in order to receive a permitted path. Feeders are sections that are traveled before and after the section of the mandatory demand segment. |
ImpA |
Enter a parameter ImpA for the impedance calculation. A path is permitted for an OD pair if the following applies to its impedance Imp: Imp ≤ ImpA • Imp‘ + ImpB with Imp‘ being the minimum impedance of the paths of the OD pair. |
ImpB |
Enter a parameter ImpB for the impedance calculation. |
FeederImpA |
Enter a parameter FeederImpA for the calculation of the feeder impedance. The feeder impedance prevents the acceptance of paths with great detours for the feeders. Visum groups all paths found in the search of an OD pair by the part of the path with the obligatory demand segment. The result set only contains paths to which applies: FeederImp ≤ FeederImpA • FeederImp‘ + FeederImpB with FeederImp being the feeder impedance of the path and FeederImp‘ the minimum feeder impedance of the paths with the same obligatory demand segment. |
FeederImpB |
Enter a parameter FeederImpB for the calculation of the feeder impedance. |
SearchImpA |
Enter a parameter for the search impedance. Weaker dominance criteria are used during the search. For the path from the origin zone to an intermediate node, only the weaker dominance criterion needs to apply. |
SearchImpB |
Enter a parameter for the search impedance. Weaker dominance criteria are used during the search. For the path from an intermediate node to the destination zone, only the weaker dominance criterion needs to apply. |
Lambda |
Enter a value for the lambda of the Logit model for the distribution origin - destination demand to the paths of the OD pairs. |

Specifying the order and the obligation of the demand segments
You can specify the order in which demand segments will be used by paths. You also determine which demand segment is obligatory for all paths.
1. Make sure that the Parameters: Multimodal assignment window is open (Selecting and executing the Multimodal assignment).
2. In the SubordinateDSegSequence column, click the icon.
The Edit sequence of subordinate demand segments window opens.
3. Make the desired changes:
Element |
Description |
Demand segment |
Drop-down list of the available demand segments |
Obligatory |
|
|
Adds a new row to the list of demand segments. |
|
Deletes the marked demand segments |
|
Moves the marked demand segments one row up in the list. |
|
Moves the marked demand segments one row down in the list. |
4. Confirm with OK.
The specified order is displayed in the column. The demand segments are separated by commas, optional demand segments are in square brackets, for example [Bike],[Car],PT,[Bike].
