A printed page is defined by its adjustable margin, orientation, and positioning.
1. On the File menu, select Print (Network editor)> Set printed page.
In the Print window, the Page setup tab opens.
2. Make the desired changes.

Here you can set either a Portrait or Landscape output. Alternatively, select Select format automatically to base the orientation on the page proportion of the selected output area. |

Horizontal centering/Vertical centering If one of the options or both have been selected, the print is aligned horizontally and/or vertically. Note If none of the two options has been selected, the output section is aligned at the top left corner of the printable section. |

Margins |
Here you specify the margin sizes (left, right, top, bottom) of the printable area in mm. |

Output area |
Here you can specify the area which you want to print. Current view If the option has been selected, the current view of the Visum window will be printed. Entire graphical display If the option has been selected, the entire network display will be printed. Print area If the option has been selected, the defined print area will be printed (Specifying the print area). Note For the options Current view and Entire graphical display, the current user interface scale factor is used, unless in the Output size section, Scale to page size is selected. Expand to printed page size If required, select this option as well to expand the output area to the entire printable area. The horizontal and vertical extension is adjusted to the print area. The selected scale remains unchanged. |

Output size |
Scale to page size If the option has been selected, the graphics is expanded to the size of the entire page without changing the width-to-height ratio. Note The output section is scaled either horizontally or vertically so that it covers the print area completely in one of the two directions. Hereby, the selected scale is adjusted (both zoomed in and out). If both options Scale to page size and Expand to printed page size are selected, the output area is first scaled and then expanded in the direction possible. The scale is adjusted. Size from current view If this option is selected, the contents are printed in the size displayed in the current Visum window. User-defined scale If this option is selected, you can define an arbitrary scale. Click the Set maximum scale link, to set the user-defined scale so that your content fills the entire printed page. Note The calculated output size is highlighted in red if it is greater than the available space on the printed page. |
| Oversize handling |
Cut off at margins If the option has been selected, the graphics to be printed is cut off at the margins. Print tiles If the option has been selected, the print is output in the form of tiles. Notes We recommend this kind of output if you want to print a large network but no large-sized printer is available. The window indicates the number of tiles that will be printed with the current settings. If there are several tiles, in the window below, click them to show a preview. If this option is selected, the following options are provided: Overlapping Overlap of the tiles in mm Draw dividing lines If the option has been selected, dividing lines will be drawn at the cutting edges. We recommend the display of dividing lines if the overlap is not zero in order to join the individual tiles more precisely. |

Miscellaneous |
Print markings If this option is selected, the highlighting of objects is also printed. Scale absolute millimeter sizes If the option has been selected, the difference in scale between the soft copy and the print will be adjusted. Note For this purpose, the scaling factor between the two scales is calculated and all absolute sizes in mm are multiplied by this factor. |
4. If required, make additional settings on the other tabs.
