Using the CodeMeter settings window
You can edit the lists of license servers and license containers in the CodeMeter settings window. Open the window from the product or the standalone tool PTV License Manager.
1. Open the License Management window (Managing licenses with the PTV License Manager) or (Opening the license management in the product).
2. Click the Edit CodeMeter settings symbol.
3. Make the desired changes:

List of the license servers that you can access. You can edit the list. A symbol indicates the status of the license server:

Update list: Updates the list of registered license servers. |

Add license server: Add license servers to the search list (Adding license servers to the list of all searchable servers). |

Remove license server: Delete marked license servers from the list (Removing a license server from the search list) |

Edit license server: Edit marked license servers (Editing a license server in the search list) |

If the option is selected, the product automatically scans the network for license servers.

Start the search for new licenses on the registered license servers and cloud license containers (Finding licenses). |

|
Import credentials for cloud container Set up access to the cloud license container by importing the credentials file (Setting up access to cloud license containers) |

Generate soft container: To activate license keys for soft containers on a license server, it may be necessary to generate a new soft container on the desired license server. |

|
Remove soft container/credentials: Deletes the selected soft container or credentials for a cloud container from the list.
|

|
Generate license request/receipt (file-based): Generates a license request file or receipt file for the selected license container on a remote computer in the course of the license update (Creating a license request file on the license server and uploading it) and (Creating a receipt file on the license server) |

Import license update (file-based): Updates the license on the selected license container file-based. This procedure is used when the license container is located on a remote computer that is not connected to the Internet (Transferring the license activation file to the license server). |
