Adding points to a link
You can insert intermediate points into a link or connector to model a curve. You can define the z-Offset for each intermediate point. For links, you can also do so for the start and end points (Defining altitude of link intermediate points using z-offset). This is not possible for connectors. You can also define the values for the attributes of curve properties.
1. Make sure that the network object type Links is selected on the network object sidebar.
2. In the Network editor, zoom into the link of your choice.
3. In the Network editor, right click the desired position in the link.
The movement direction is shown by arrows at the edges of the link.
4. On the shortcut menu, click Add Point.
Per default, the link is inserted as a yellow intermediate point. If you zoom out very far, Vissim arrows and intermediate points are no longer fully displayed.
If within a link, a z-offset (start), z-offset (end), and/or intermediate points with a z-offset define of an upward or downward gradient, for a new intermediate point, a value for the z-offset is interpolated.
The Link intermediate point window opens. Make the desired changes. The attributes are described in the section Attributes of Links (Attributes of links).
