Events layer
The Events layer displays a wide set of events that can be registered in the traffic road.
The events managed by TS are recognized according to the DATEX II standard.

The events can be mainly classified according to their effects on the traffic road model:
- Active: the event is producing this effect on the traffic road model in the current time, thus the current time falls in the time period set by the parameters START TIME - END TIME.
- Inactive: the event is not producing effects because the current time falls out of the time period set by the parameters START TIME - END TIME.
- Terminated: the event has finished to produce effects because the current time exceeds the time limit of the event END TIME.
- Future: the event is not active now but can be activated in a future time, thus the current time precedes the event START TIME.
An example of event is the limitation of traffic in a specific area in a specific time period, for example all days from 8 AM to 12 AM.
This event is active into the specified time period and inactive (but not terminated) before 8 AM and after 12 PM.
Another example is the unexpected fall of a tree (active event), that requires the authorities to close the access to the road involved.
After the tree is removed, the event is set as terminated and the road is reopened.

Every event is characterized by a specific icon.
The color of the icon indicates the state of the event:
- Red: active event.
- Gray: terminated event.
- Yellow: future event.
