INRIX provides services pertaining to road traffic, and supplies:

What Optima can import from INRIX

Optima can import the real-time speed information provided by INRIX.

The data provided by INRIX is referred to locations encoded by OpenLR (→ OpenLR). 

From INRIX are obtained the so-called XD Segments (XDS). These segments are line location references defined by several (typically two) location reference points.

A decoding process is run to refer the traffic data to the Optima reference network. The accuracy of the decoding result depends on the base network accuracy, in particular on the availability of the link attributes required by OpenLR. Usually, some post-processing of the decoding result is needed to refine the map-matching.
