HERE Intelligent Transport System (HERE ITS) is an area traffic management company providing real-time traffic data, aggregated from different sources.
The integration of HERE with PTV Optima, allows the governance of the traffic management policies according to the PTV Optima real time and forecast features.
In particular, HERE provides different location referencing strategies as:
- Traffic Message Coding (TMC).
- Dynamic Location Referencing (DLR).
- OpenLR.
PTV Optima uses the format OpenLR (→ OpenLR).
Data processing in the HERE interface consists of two major parts:
- Import locations
- Traffic state creation
The import process is run at server start-up and with a periodical refresh rate, specified in the configuration file optima-configuration.xml (<schedule> tag).
The interface gets real-time data every minute, but you can configure it differently depending on your needs.
