Importing OMX data

1.  From the File menu, select the Import > Matrices (OMX) entry.

The OMX import window opens.

2.  On the File import tab, make the desired changes.

Element

Description

OMX file

Enter the path for the OMX file to be imported.

The path can be absolute or relative. Relative paths are interpreted by Visum relative to the project directory for matrices.

Matrix reference type

Specify the reference object for the matrices to be imported. You can select zone, main zone, and stop area.

Allocation of matrix entries

Specify how the entries in the OMX matrix are allocated to the Visum objects.

OMX lookup table

Select a lookup table of values to be used for allocating the rows and columns of the matrices to the selected Visummatrix reference type. The lookup tables are loaded from the selected OMX file. They must contain unique values.

Visum attribute

Select a unique Visum attribute for allocating the values from the lookup table.

Conflict handling

Select whether new Visum matrices should be created during the import or existing matrices should be overwritten.

Overwrite existing matrices

If this option is selected, existing Visum matrices with identical matrix references are replaced by the imported matrices.

Regenerate all matrices

If this option is selected, a new Visum matrix is created for each matrix in the OMX file and all allocated matrix attributes are set at the Visum matrix.

Matrix selection

Select the desired OMX matrices to be imported here.

3.  On the Matrix metadata tab, make the desired changes.

Note: All attributes contained in the OMX file are listed here and automatically allocated.

Element

Description

OMX matrix attribute

Contains all matrix attributes that exist in the OMX file. Entries in this column cannot be removed or edited.

Visum matrix attribute

Change the allocation to the Visum matrix attributes if required.

Use for matrix reference

A matrix reference is created from the selected attributes, which uniquely references a matrix in the model. If it already exists in the model, it is replaced or created.

4.  Confirm with OK.

The selected data is imported.
