Importing Centracs Mobility data

1.  Select File > Import > Measured volumes on movements (Centracs Mobility).

The Import measured volumes on movements (Centracs Mobility) window opens.

2.  Make the desired settings.

Element Description

Import from file

Selection of a comma-separated CSV file in UTF-8 format

Notes

Only attributes in the loaded network are updated during import, network objects are not created.

Fields that do not contain volumes are not taken into account, for example occupancy, speed, phase, and lane.

Map matching

Only movements between active links

If this option is selected, only turns and main turns between active links are considered as targets for imported data.

The objects in the file must be assigned to objects in the Visum model. Enter the desired comparison attributes. If no attributes are set or there is no clear match, Visum searches for candidates within the snap radius using the coordinates contained in the file and selects the best match.

Comparison attribute for ControllerID

Select an intersection attribute to assign Centracs ControllerID values to the turn volumes (nodes/main nodes). If no attribute is selected, the search for nodes is carried out using the coordinates (snap radius).

Comparison attribute for link orientation

Select the link attribute whose values represent the approach orientation. It is used to compare DirectionMovement from Centracs (e.g. northbound/left/right/through) and to find the appropriate approaches or movements at the node.

Comparison attribute for detectors

Select the detector attribute to assign the DetectorID from the file to detectors in the network. If no clear match is found, no allocation is made. There is no geographical candidate search by catch radius for detectors.

Catch radius for geographic candidate search

Maximum distance for the candidate search based on the coordinates contained in the file (DeviceLatitude/DeviceLongitude)

Candidates outside this radius will not be considered.

Data selection

The input file contains count data with a time reference. The time range contained in the file may differ from the desired time range in the Visum model. Use the time range to specify which calendar days contained in the file are imported and how the data is synchronized with the calendar in the Visum model.

Import data in this time range

Select a contiguous range of whole calendar days. In the case of daily or weekly calendars, the range is restricted to the time span available in the file after the file selection. For annual calendars, the range is determined by the calendar of the target network.

Import data for these days of the week

Select the days of the week to be imported. Data sets on non-selected days are ignored. With weekly calendars, values are aggregated per day of the week across all suitable days.

Notes

The option is only displayed for daily/weekly calendars.

Time intervals in the input file can go beyond midnight. In Visum, time intervals must not extend past midnight. The data sets are therefore cut at the end of a day (24:00) and distributed proportionally over both calendar days.

Adjust subattributes of the count value attributes according to the input file

If the option is selected, the subattributes of the selected target attributes for count values are adjusted before the import so that they correspond to the time division of the data (StartDateTimeUTC/BinDurationMinutes). Otherwise, the time division remains in place and the data is aggregated according to this time division.

Data transfer

Selecting the target attributes in the Visum model ensures that the imported values are assigned to the correct object type. No values are transferred without a selected target attribute.

Target attribute for volumes at movements

Select the movement attribute (turn/main turn) that is to receive the imported volumes per time interval.

Target attribute for volumes at detectors

Select the detector attribute that is to receive the imported volumes per time interval.

Target attribute for SourceType at intersections

Select a node/main node attribute for storing the SourceType text from the file. If several rows apply, the last processed value is saved.

Target attribute for SourceType at detectors

Select a detector attribute for storing the SourceType text from the file. If several rows apply, the last processed value is saved.

3.  Confirm with OK.

The selected Centracs Mobility data is imported.
