Entering ridership data manually

The Ridership data list (in the Lists > Demand menu) displays all ridership data sets. You can enter, edit, and delete ridership data in the list. By default, the list opens with an attribute set that contains the entire line hierarchy.

The list knows the hierarchical references of the modeled public transport supply (transport system, line, direction, line route, time profile, vehicle journey). You can search the list for all objects of the respective type in the network by clicking the symbol in the desired column. If an element of the higher hierarchy level, e.g. transport system, is entered first, the list already filters the entries of the subordinate elements accordingly. If you enter an element from the lower hierarchy level, e.g. line route, the higher-level entries, such as line or transport system, are filled automatically. When editing an element of a higher hierarchy level, the entries of the lower elements are deleted. This ensures that the input is always consistent with the modeled public transport supply.

For the attributes that relate to network objects (stops, zones, but also vehicle journey items within a vehicle journey), the search for the respective network object type appears as an input aid in the list if possible.

You can restrict the list using filters for demand segments and path status.

You can create new ridership data sets via the symbol  Create. A new data set number is inserted by default. If you would like to add an entry to an existing data set, select Add entry for data set in the shortcut menu. An entry with the same data set number and index is then inserted.

Note: You can show the results in a table or diagram, or use them for further evaluations (Displaying data graphically and in lists and Settings for interactive analyses).
