The line construction operation is integrated in scenario management. A scenario is selected as the base. The line construction generates modifications that add different public transport supplies to the base and saves them as separate scenarios. The overall evaluations and the values of the individual objective components are saved in attributes of the scenario and displayed for you. The scenario code contains a description of the quality of the public transport supply. For example, the best solution found is named here. . You can set the number of solutions generated. On the one hand, the line concepts with the highest overall evaluation are saved as scenarios and, on the other hand, the Pareto-optimal solutions are optionally output. In other words, the solutions that are each optimal in one objective.
The settings for the calculation parameters of the line construction can be saved and opened again in the dialog. The parameters with which a modification has been calculated are available as a user-defined attribute.
To use the line construction procedure without scenario management, there is an alternative access in the 'Calculate' menu. In this case, the loaded network is used as the base. The supply with the best evaluation is integrated directly into the base network.
