Importing VDV 452 data
1. From the File menu, choose Import >VDV 452.
The VDV 452 Import window opens.
2. Make the desired changes.
Element |
Description |
VDV 452 directory |
In the input field, enter the path and file name of the desired files *.x10, or click the icon to select the files. |
Import line blocks |
If this option is selected, line blocks are also imported from VDV 452 data. A block version is inserted for each operating day on its first calendar day. You can then concatenate the line blocks into longer line blocks. Note This option is only available if you have activated the Line costing calculation add-on module (Enabling or disabling add-ons). |
Aggregate vehicle journeys |
If this option is selected, vehicle journeys with the same departure times, time profiles, and extensions are merged into one. This should enable the data based on operating days to be converted into the Visum system based on valid days (Public transport data import). Linked line block items are adjusted accordingly. |
Determine suggestions for operating periods |
If the option is selected, Visum uses the imported operating days to determine suggestions for Visum operating periods, which can reduce the number of required operating days. |
Save created network file (*.net)? |
If this check box is selected, after the import the files are saved as a network file, and the network file is opened. If this check box is not selected, during the import process the files are written into a temporary network file which is opened in Visum. Afterwards, the file is deleted. |
Output network file |
In the input field, enter the path and name of the network file in which you want to save the imported data, or click the icon to look for the file. Note The file name automatically assigned by Visum reflects the creation date and time: YYYY-MM-DD_HHMMSS.net |
3. Confirm with OK.
Note: You can save multiple versions of the data to a VDV data folder. In general, these so-called base versions are defined within a database via the table 485 - 'BASE_VERSION'. By naming the files with table numbers, you can continue to save multiple databases with a different export date to the same folder. When you import data into Visum, only one base version can be adopted. If there are multiple base versions in the folder specified, a window containing a list is opened, in which you can select the desired base version. |
The data is imported. A (temporary) network file is created and imported into Visum (Comparison of VDV 452 and Visum data model).
