The Increment P company produces digital map data in MapFan DB format. This is detailed map data for road and railways in Japan. The MapFan DB interface enables the transfer of this data into an empty Visum network. An additive import is not provided.
By setting the model boundaries early, the amount of data is limited geographically. The information of the used coordinate projection is included in the map delivery of Increment P as file *.prj. This can be selected before the import and thus enables correct georeferencing. Static data such as identifiers, time-dependent closures, and speed limits are stored in user-defined tables (Notes on MapFan DB data).
