Matrices are independent Visum objects. As part of demand description they are also part of the version file. Besides the Visum matrices (demand matrices, skim matrices) you can also edit external matrix files.
The row objects of a matrix are called origin or origin objects. The column objects of a matrix are called destination or destination objects. This is how so-called OD pairs are created. Visum matrices represent the relations between zones and main zones in a network and are always quadratic.
