Carrying out accident predictions
For links, nodes, and main nodes in your network, you may carry out accident predictions based on an APM (Accident Prediction Model).
Note: To use an accident prediction model that accounts for your individual requirements, please contact your PTV consultant. |
- ► To carry out an accident prediction, make sure the following requirements are met:
- Main nodes must be defined. Each main node must be assigned the appropriate control type (Defining main nodes and checking the control type).
- Each link must be assigned an APM link type (Defining the APM link type).
If the requirements are met, you can select the desired APM result attribute and show an accident prediction for it (Selecting the APM attribute and showing an accident prediction).
The results of an accident prediction can be displayed graphically in the Network editor. In the lists of network objects, you can show the results of accident prediction you have carried out for the respective network objects. These can be main nodes, nodes or links.
