Specifying the number of processor cores to be used
If you work with a computer with more than one processor core, you can specify how many cores shall be used for certain calculations.
Notes: Currently Visum can perform the following calculations on several processor cores at the same time:
The more processor cores you use, the faster the computation speed. However, rounding differences may occur - you can avoid these by using only one processor core. |
1. From the Edit menu, choose User preferences.
The User preferences window opens.
2. In the navigator, select Working environment > General.
3. In the CPU selection list, select the appropriate entry.
4. Confirm with OK.
The settings are applied.
Note: If you want to execute the Equilibrium assignment LUCE procedure, the number of processor cores has to be defined with the procedure parameters. This parameter setting overrules the global settings (Parameters of Equilibrium assignment LUCE). |
