Calculating flow bundles on the basis of stops of selected fare zones

The calculation of flow bundles can be based on a set of stops of selected fare zones. Within these conditions, the traffic can be differentiated according to the use of analysis lines.

1.  On the Graphics menu, click Flow bundle.

The Graphics tools (Flow bundle) window opens.

2.  Select the traffic type PuT below Term type.

3.  In the Add special conditions section, choose option Insert stops of selected fare zones as condition when selecting links.

A new Stop selection row is inserted. The Select fare zones window opens.

4.  Select the desired fare zones for the conditions.

5.  Confirm with Confirm selection.

The stops of the selected fare zone(s) are used.

Note: When you click the Condition column again, the stop selection window opens. The selection of stops via fare zones can simplify the procedure.

6.  Click the icon in the Condition column.

The Edit flow bundle term window opens.

7.  Select the Traffic types tab.

8.  Select the With supply differentiation option.

9.  Select a numerical line attribute for the Analysis lines.

Note: Lines, which have a value greater than zero for this attribute, count as analysis lines.

10.  Select the desired Traffic type(s).

Notes: Internal trips, Origin and Destination trips refer to the network object selection, just like the classic traffic types (Filtering paths via active and passive network objects and traffic types)

Transferring through trips means:

  • Neither the first nor the last network object (of the considered type, i.e. stop or link) of the path form part of the network object selection.
  • At least one object of the network object selection is used by the path.
  • In case of stops, the alighting stop or boarding stop of a real transfer are at least once included in the stop selection.
  • In case of links, the last link before an alighting or the first link after a boarding (each in the context of a real transfer) are at least once included in the link selection.
  • A transfer is a real transfer here, not an origin boarding or a destination alighting.

Other traffic types include external trips, bypassing internal trips, and through traffic without transfer.

11.  Confirm with OK.

The selection is applied.

12.  Insert further filter criteria, if required.

13.  Click the Execute symbol .

The flow bundle filters the volumes of the selected fare zones according to the conditions.

Example

A path belongs to the category Origin and destination trips with analysis lines exclusively outside of the network object selection (in the example: stop selection) if it fulfills the following criteria:

  • Its start or end stop form part of the stop selection.
  • The stop at the other end point of the path is not included in the stop selection.
  • No analysis lines exist on the stop selection.
  • At least one analysis line exists outside of the stop selection.
