1. From the Network menu, choose PuT fares.
The PuT fares window opens.
2. Select the Ticket types tab.
The list of defined ticket types is displayed.
3. Click the Create button.
The Create ticket type window opens.
4. Make the desired changes.

Calculation of distance-based supplements |
Use the list to specify how to calculate distance-based supplements of transport systems. Proportionally The distance-based supplement of a transport system is determined on the basis of the sum of fare points for all TSys and then weighted with the share of the transport system on the path. The distance-based total supplement of the connection results from the sum of the supplements calculated by TSys. Supplement by TSys = number of fare points of TSys / total number of fare points for all TSys • TSys supplement for total number of fare points Additively The distance-based supplement of a transport system is determined on the basis of the number of fare points traversed with this TSys. Fixed supplements |
Use the list to specify when to apply fixed supplements. Apply once per transport system For a connection, the fixed supplement for a transport system is applied once, even if the transport system is used on two separate path legs (default). Apply to the top-ranking transport system only For a connection, a fixed supplement is applied which is the supplement that has been set for the top-ranking transport system. The maximum of the supplements will be applied if there are equivalent ranks. Apply to path leg Instead of just once per connection, the fixed TSys supplement is applied for each path leg of the connection. The supplement is thus applied twice if two path legs use the same transport system which is subject to a supplement. |

Consider all stops with a matching transport system |
If this option is selected, all stops that are open for the transport systems of the lines in operation are taken into account when determining the relevant fare zones. |
| Only consider stops with a stop of the time profile | If this option is selected, only those stops will be considered at which stops of the time profile exist when determining the relevant fare zones. |

Use fare zone type |
If this option is selected, an additional spatial condition is included in the calculation of fares for the fare structures distance-based fare, short-distance fare, time-based fare, and direct distance fare. This condition is the belonging of stops to a specific fare zone. It is a prerequisite for the use of a ticket type, that all stops of the regarded path leg set are located within the permitted fare zones. If the option has not been checked, the belonging to a fare zone does not enter the fare calculation in case of distance-based fares or time-based fares. Note The option is always active in the Zone-based fare structure, the option is always inactive in the From-To zone-based fare structure. The option cannot be changed in these cases. |

If the option is selected, the calculation will not report an error if there is a stop on the path that is not associated with a fare zone of the specified type. Note By default, the option is not selected. |

Count multiple passes through fare zones multiple times |
If the option is selected, the program counts multiple passes of the same fare zone multiple times as long as the traversed stops differ. This generally leads to a higher fare. Example Stop 1 and stop 2 are allocated to fare zone A. Stop 3 belongs to fare zone B. If a path leads from stop 1 to 2 to 3, two fare zones are counted. Another path leads from stop 1 to 3 to 2. Here, three fare zones are counted. If a path leads from stop 1 to 3 and then back to 1, two fare zones are counted, because stop 1 has already been passed. |

User-defined cardinalities |
User-defined cardinalities If the option has been selected, fare zones can be weighted based on a numeric, integer attribute. Fare zones are counted according to their weighting, which results in increasing fares. Select the Attribute for cardinality in a separate window via the corresponding button. Ignore the cardinalities of first and last fare zones If the option has been selected, first and last fare zones are not weighted. Note Fare zones can be weighted and simultaneously be counted repeatedly. |

Specify whether a fare point based distance supplement shall be charged. You set the supplement using the Distance button. In another window you define how the supplement is calculated depending on the distance covered in the transport system. Note The distance is modeled in fare points. |

Apply values |
Via this button you can apply the TSys-specific supplements defined for a different ticket type to the current ticket type. Select the different ticket type in the drop-down list. |

Editing a ticket type
1. In the PuT fare systems window, click the Ticket types tab.
2. In the list of the ticket types, click the cell you want to edit.
3. Make the desired changes.
4. Confirm with OK.
The changes are applied.
Deleting ticket types
1. In the PuT fare systems window, click the Ticket types tab.
2. In the list, click the ticket type of your choice.

Tip: To select multiple entries, hold down the Ctrl key while clicking the desired entries one by one. |
3. Click the Delete button.
4. Confirm with OK.
The ticket type is deleted.
