The multimodal user model offers the possibility to look at paths where the overall path is a combination of paths that are covered by different modes (PrT, PuT) and with different transport systems (car, train). An example would be a flight passenger traveling by train to the airport, who after arriving at his destination airport, uses the subway to continue his journey. The multimodal user model is closely linked to the mechanisms of public and private transport. The following section, however, only describes the procedures that support multimodal applications.
