Coupling vehicle journeys
You may use the tabular or graphical timetable to couple vehicle journeys.
1. Mark the vehicle journey(s) that you want to edit (Marking vehicle journeys).
2. On the timetable toolbar, click the Couple vehicle journeys icon .
Notes: If you cannot couple the selected vehicle journeys, the Couple vehicle journeys icon in the toolbar is grayed out. If you have selected several vehicle journeys, the vehicle journey with the smallest number is displayed in the left half of the window and the first continuous area for which coupling partners exist is selected. |
The Couple vehicle journey <number> window opens.
3. In the Selection of coupled section section, mark a consecutive area for coupling. Depending on your selection, in the Selection of coupling partners section, the list of potential coupling partners changes.
4. If required, click the icon to limit the number of rows displayed.

Select this option to only show the stop points of the vehicle journey. |

Select this option to only show the stop points of the transport system of the vehicle journey selected. |
Only stop points where boarding or alighting is permissible |
Select this option to only show the stop points where boarding or alighting is permitted. |
5. If required, in the Selection of coupling partners section, set the desired restrictions.

If this option is selected, only potential coupling partners are shown that have the same operator. |
Same transport system |
If this option is selected, only potential coupling partners are shown that have the same transport system. |
Overlapping valid days |
If this option is selected, only potential coupling partners are shown whose valid days overlap. |
6. From the list of possible coupling partners, select the vehicle journey of your choice.
7. If required, click the icon, next to the option Couple additional vehicle journeys with same time profiles in selected section.
8. Click the Coupling button.
The vehicle journeys are coupled.
9. Click the Close button.
Note: Coupling is always an additive element. In the Couple vehicle journey <number> (...) window, you may perform one of the following operations for coupled vehicle journeys:
In the window, coupled vehicle journeys are not already preselected on the section selected. As coupling is always additive, no existing coupling is deleted. However, in the course of a vehicle journey, the Selection of coupling section section shows you where vehicle journeys have already been coupled. |
