Copying and pasting vehicle journeys
You can copy one or more existing vehicle journeys and paste them to the same network, a different network, or a network in a different Visum instance. All required elements of the line hierarchy are also copied in the process and pasted if they are not contained in the network yet. If copied vehicle journeys are coupled, the couplings are also copied and pasted.
Copying vehicle journeys
1. Make sure that the tabular or graphical timetable is open (Opening the graphical and the tabular timetable).
2. Mark the vehicle journey that you want to copy (Marking vehicle journeys).
3. On the toolbar, click the Copy marked vehicle journeys to clipboard icon.
Tip: Alternatively, you can copy the marked vehicle journeys by selecting entry Copy vehicle journeys to clipboard on the shortcut menu. If you have marked vehicle journeys in window Network editor, you can copy them to the clipboard by selecting entry Copy object to clipboard on the shortcut menu. |
The vehicle journeys and all associated elements of the line hierarchy are copied to the clipboard. This also includes the values of user-defined attributes and referenced objects like transport systems, operators, valid days, main lines, vehicle combinations and fare systems.
Pasting copied vehicle journeys
1. Switch to the Visum network in which you want to paste the copied vehicle journeys.
2. Open the graphical or tabular timetable (Opening the graphical and the tabular timetable).
3. Click the Paste vehicle journey from clipboard icon.
The vehicle journeys and all other required elements of the line hierarchy are read additively from the clipboard into the network. The copied values of user-defined attributes are inserted if corresponding attributes exist in the target network. The copied referenced objects are inserted upon request if they do not already exist in the target network with identical data. The line selection is also adjusted, where applicable, and the inserted vehicle journeys are displayed in the timetable.
Note: If no suitable object exists in the target network, but one with the same key that differs from the object in the source network in a different input attribute, Visum proceeds as follows on request:
You can suppress the messages in the user preferences by specifying how Visum is to proceed for all vehicle journeys (Defining settings for copying and pasting vehicle journeys). |

Suppress messages regarding master data If this option is selected, no message is displayed when copied vehicle journeys are inserted in a timetable and master data is missing. Use the following options to determine how Visum reacts to the missing master data. Insert non-existing master data without prompt If this option is selected, Visum inserts the missing objects without any prompt. Also set references to non-matching master data if available, otherwise leave empty If this option is selected, Visum sets references to objects with the same key and different data. If no such objects exist, the reference stays empty. Leave references to non-existing master data empty If this option is selected, no references are set if no master data with the same key and attributes exists in the target network. |
