Editing a vehicle journey section

Note: From the Timetable (tabular) menu, choose Show vehicle journey sections. Vehicle journey sections are not displayed in the regular services mode.

You can edit a vehicle journey section either directly in the tabular timetable or in the Edit vehicle journey section <Number vehicle journey (name vehicle journey section)> window. This window is described below.

Tips: You can also open the window from the graphical timetable and the line block editor (Editing vehicle journeys and vehicle journey sections). To do so, in the graphical timetable, right-click the vehicle journey to which the vehicle journey section belongs that you want to edit. In the shortcut menu, select the Edit vehicle journey sections < Number vehicle journey (name vehicle journey section)> entry.

1. Make sure that the tabular timetable is open and that vehicle journey sections exist.

2. In the tabular timetable, double-click the column header of the desired vehicle journey section.

The Edit vehicle journey section <Number vehicle journey (name vehicle journey section)> window opens. The upper section of the window displays general information on the vehicle journey and vehicle journey section which cannot be edited.

Note: You can also edit several selected vehicle journey sections. Via the shortcut menu the window Multi-edit vehicle journey sections opens (Editing attribute values of network objects)

3. Specify the desired settings in the lower section of the window on the Basis tab.

Element	Description
Vehicle combination	In the drop-down list, you can select a different vehicle combination for the vehicle journey section.
Vehicle combination set	Click the button to change the vehicle combination set.
Valid day	In the drop-down list, you can specify a different setting for the valid day if the vehicle journey section is served on deviating days.
Operating period	You can select an operating period from the drop-down list (Fundamentals: Valid days). Note Operating periods are only provided if you use an annual calendar.
Preparation time	Here you can specify the specific preparation time of the vehicle journey section for the line blocking. Line blocking is based on vehicle journey sections. Note You can set a specific preparation time in the Specific layover times tab.
Post-preparation time	Here you can specify the specific post-preparation time of the vehicle journey section for the line blocking. Line blocking is based on vehicle journey sections. Note You can set a specific post-preparation time in the Specific layover times tab.
Start stop point	Select the start stop point for the vehicle journey section.
End stop point	Select the end stop point for the vehicle journey section. Tip You can edit the Start stop point and the End stop point of a vehicle journey section directly in the tabular timetable: Make sure that attribute FromTProfItemIdentifier and ToTProfItemIdentifier are displayed in the tabular timetable. There are several options for editing the value: In the drop-down list, click the desired time profile item. Enter the index number, the code or the name of the time profile item directly into the field and confirm with Enter.

4. Select the Specific layover times tab.

5. Make the desired changes.

Use specific preparation time	If the option has been selected, for each vehicle combination the list displays a row for the preparation time. In the Value column, you can enter a specific preparation time each. If the option has not been selected, the preparation time from the Basis tab will be used for all vehicle combinations.
Use specific post-preparation time	If the option has been selected, for each vehicle combination the list displays a row for the post preparation time. In the Value column, you can enter a specific post preparation time each. If the option has not been selected, the post-preparation time from the Basis tab will be used for all vehicle combinations.

Note: The In vehicle journey set column indicates whether the vehicle combination is permitted on the vehicle journey section. The rows are highlighted in gray accordingly. You can identify allocated vehicle combinations in the Allocated vehicle combination tab. They are shown in bold. You can sort the entries of the columns In vehicle combination set and Allocated vehicle combinations.

6. Confirm with OK.

The vehicle journey section is modified according to your specifications.
