Displaying active line objects
You can configure the display of active line objects in the Network editor window.
1. On the Graphics menu, click Edit graphic parameters.
The Edit graphic parameters: Network editor window opens.
2. In the navigator, select the Links entry.
Note: The graphic parameters for all line objects are nearly identical. This example describes the settings for the line-type object 'link'. |
3. Make the desired changes.

Draw layer links |
Here you can specify which elements of the link layer will be displayed. If the option has been selected, links are displayed in the network display. If the option has not been selected, the subordinate options are grayed out. Draw links If the option has been selected, links are displayed. Draw label If the option has been selected, the links are labeled(Labeling line objects). Draw bars If the option has been selected, link bars are displayed (Displaying properties via bars). Draw bar labels If the option has been selected, the link bars are labeled. Draw isochrones If the option has been selected, isochrones are displayed (Displaying isochrones and accessibility in PrT). |
Layer drawing order |
The list shows the order in which the layers are drawn. Use the and icons to edit the order of the drawn layers. |
Object drawing order according to attribute value |
You can also set the drawing order of active links using a selected attribute to display important links in the foreground. Attribute Here you select the attribute whose value is to determine the drawing order. Note If you do not select an attribute, the links are drawn according to the key sequence. Largest values in the foreground If this option has been selected, the links with the largest values of the selected attribute are displayed in the foreground. Smallest values in the foreground If this option has been selected, the links with the smallest values of the selected attribute are displayed in the foreground. Note On the Display page, you can also specify the number of objects displayed under Object selection. |
4. In the navigator, select the entry Links > Display > tab Active.
Tip: Alternatively, you can call this page as follows: In the Network window, right-click the icon of the network object type. |
5. Make the desired changes.

Display of the objects currently drawn You can restrict the display, for example, to the 5 links with the largest Length. A click on the link opens a window in which you can make the following settings: Restrict object selection If this option has been selected, only the objects defined under Maximum number are drawn. Attribute Here you select the attribute that you want to use to restrict the display. Criterion Here you determine whether the objects are drawn with the largest or smallest values of the selected attribute. Note If bars are only drawn for active links, the limited object selection also applies to their display. |
Uniform display |
If the option has been selected, all active objects are drawn consistently. |
Classified display |
If the option has been selected, active objects can be classified and displayed by an attribute (Displaying classified objects based on attribute values). |
Options for the uniform display |
In this section, specify how the line objects are drawn. Preview Here you can see how a link will be drawn according to the current settings. Draw object If the option has been selected, active point objects are displayed. Draw until scale If the option has been selected, line objects are drawn up to the set scale when zooming out (Editing the network scale). If the option has not been selected, the line objects are always displayed, no matter what scale is used in the network. Line style Here you can specify the style in which the lines are drawn (Setting parameters for the line style). Line color Here you can specify a color for the line. Draw arrow head If the option has been selected, an arrow head is drawn. Specify the following settings for the arrow head. Via the drop-down list, select the symbol that will be displayed as arrow head.
Size of arrow head in mm
You can specify a color for the arrow head in a separate window. To do so, click in the field (Editing the properties of a closed polygon).
If you select the Circle or Square symbol, you can activate the input field by checking the box. In the input field, you can enter a sign which will be displayed inside the circle or square. Use the drop-down list to select a color for the sign. |
Note: If you click the Preview button, your changes show immediately without the Edit graphic parameters: Network editor window being closed. |
6. Confirm with OK.
The line objects are displayed according to your chosen settings.
