Noise calculation according to RLS-19
The procedure determines the emissions of the length-related acoustic power level of a source line per direction of travel. Visum considers the following steps for the calculation of Lw' in decibels.
- The calculation of the length-based acoustic power level of a source line according to equation (4), RLS-19 was adjusted to support the optional consideration of motorcycles:
where
M |
relevant hourly traffic volume (car/h) |
P1 |
relevant HGV share in percent of the total traffic for HGV and buses |
P2 |
relevant HGV share in percent of the total traffic for HGV with trailers and semi-trailers |
P3 |
relevant motorcycle share in percent of the total traffic |
V |
relevant speed per vehicle group |
LW,Veh(vVeh) |
Acoustic power level for vehicles |
The acoustic power level for vehicles of a vehicle group is determined by the basic value added with the following correction values:
- Correction factor DStrO for different road surfaces according to table 4a and 4b, RLS-19.
- Longitudinal gradient correction from the slope of the link
- Intersection correction at signalized intersections and roundabouts due to starting and braking
- Multiple reflection supplement from the link parameters h and w, if specified.
As a final result, the Acoustic power level is calculated for each direction of travel. A cross-section value is not available.
Note: The procedure helps you to calculate the acoustic power level, i.e. the emissions. The link division has an influence on the results of the acoustic power level. The evaluation level is based on a single immission location. Therefore, please choose the link division taking into account the information in the guideline. |
