A demand model consists of a set of demand objects which contain all relevant demand data, for example, the origin and destination of demands and the number of them in demand matrices. The demand object types in Visum are described below.

In addition, the EVA and tour-based demand models also contain the demand object type structural properties (Structural properties and Tour-based model).
The tour-based freight model additionally includes the special demand object types sector and delivery concept (Tour-based freight model).
In activity-based demand models, the object types locations, activity locations, households, persons, activity executions, schedules, tours and trips can also be created (Activity-based model (ABM)).
