Notes on the computing cores used
Most ABM procedures benefit greatly from the fact that they can be calculated on many computing cores. However, it is possible that the memory management under Windows is no longer optimal with too many computing cores (in our experience 64 and more) and an ABM calculation becomes slower by a factor of up to 100. In this case, the number of computing cores should not be fully utilized. The optimum number of computing cores can only be determined experimentally, as it depends on the computer architecture.
