With the subnetwork generator, Visum provides the possibility of singling out a section of an entire network, such as a city area, and regarding it separately. A smaller subnetwork gives you a better overview of the network items and their relations, and the procedures are calculated faster.
You can generate a subnetwork in such a way that, generally speaking, assignment results comparable to those of the entire network are obtained (Fundamentals: Subnetwork generator).
