Repairing incorrect node geometry

Link intermediate points that are located in the area of junctions or roundabouts can lead to an incorrect display in the junction editor.

If an incorrect node geometry exists, a warning symbol is displayed at the selected node in the geometry view of the junction editor.

You have several options to remove link intermediate points in the area of junctions and roundabouts and repair the node geometry in this way:

Removing link intermediate points at individual nodes

If the symbol is displayed at a node in the geometry view, the geometry at this node is not correct.

  • ►  Click the symbol and select the shortcut menu item Remove link intermediate points from junction area.

The link intermediate points in the area of the junction or roundabout are removed.

Checking node geometries throughout the network

If you want to check the node geometry of all nodes in the network, proceed as follows.

  • ►  Click the symbol and select the Check node geometries in the entire network shortcut menu item.

The check is executed and the node geometry is repaired.

Tip: Alternatively, you can execute the function directly in the Check network window. Select the entry Node geometry for junction editor and ANM here.

Removing link intermediate points of selected links or nodes

If you want to correct the geometry of selected links or nodes, you can select or set active the desired links or nodes in the network and then remove the link intermediate points of the selected or active objects.

Removing link intermediate points of marked objects

1.  Select the lines or nodes in the network whose geometry you want to correct.

2.  In the network editor, open the shortcut menu with a right click.

3.  Select the entry Link geometry > Remove intermediate points from junction area or, in the case of nodes, Remove link intermediate points from junction area.

The geometry of the selected objects is repaired.

Removing link intermediate points of active objects

1.  Set the desired links or nodes active (Using filters to set network objects active or passive).

2.  In the Network window, open the shortcut menu for links or nodes.

3.  Select the entry Link geometry > Remove intermediate points from junction area or, in the case of nodes, Remove link intermediate points from junction area.

The geometry of the active objects is repaired.
