You can explicitly insert empty trips into a line block if they are based on system routes.
1. Open the Line block editor (Opening the Line block editor).
2. In the block view, right click the location where you would like to create an empty trip.
The context menu opens.
3. Select Create empty trip....
The Insert block item window opens.
4. Make the desired settings (Editing a block item).
5. Confirm with OK.
The empty trip is inserted into the line block.
