Timetable-based assignment: Connection export page

On this page, you define how to export the found connections.

Element

Description

Export connections

If this option has been selected, the connections are exported.

Export file(s)

The connections are stored in several files. You need to specify the name for the first file, the so-called main file. Visum then automatically creates other files having the same name and an index number attached.

File name

Via the button, you can enter or select file name (and path, if applicable) for the main file. Notes

The file has the binary *.con format.

In the main file, Visum stores information on the other files. This is required for the import of connections (Timetable-based assignment: Basis page and Importing connections).

Maximum size (MB)

Maximum size of the files.

Notes

The size of the files may differ significantly.

If you work with very large models and computers with a lot of cores, set a value greater than 2000 so that no more than 512 files are opened at the same time.

Paths

With volumes

If this option is selected, the connections with volumes are exported. Used jointly with the option Round demand and volume data and the setting Number of decimal places only those connections are exported that after rounding have a volume >0 left (Rounding demand and volume data)

If this option is not selected, the connection file also contains paths that were deleted from the paths list due to rounding.

Notes

When you export volumes, only demand segments with volumes that are not saved to other demand segments are saved (Saving volumes by demand segment or additively).

Consider all OD pairs

If this option has been checked, connections are determined for all OD pairs.

If this option has not been checked, connections are determined only for OD pairs with demand.

With fare points

If this option has been checked, the connections are exported including their fare points. The fare points are issued for each path leg.

With user-defined attributes

Select this option to additionally export user-defined attributes of PuT paths.

Fares

Do not export

If this option has been selected, the fares are not exported.

On path level

If this option has been selected, the fare by connection is exported.

If multiple demand segments are assigned while this option is checked, you have to select the Demand segment for the fare calculation per path in the list. Select All demand segments to export the fares separately for each demand segment.

On path leg level

If this option has been selected, the fare by path leg is exported.

If multiple demand segments are assigned while this option is checked, then the demand segment for the fare calculation per path leg has also to be selected in the list. Click All demand segments to export the fares separately per demand segment.

Notes

The selection list is invisible as long as only one single demand segment is assigned.

The selection list is grayed out as long as the option Do not export is selected for the assignment of multiple demand segments.
