Specifying settings for profiles

You can specify the following settings for profiles.

1.  Open the desired profile (Opening the profile view).

2.  Make the desired changes.

Element

Description

Reference objects

You can reduce the display to selected reference objects. The reference object filters the displayed objects according to their location. Use the button to first select the type and then the specific object in the window that opens. You may alternatively select multiple objects.

If no reference object is selected, the profile view displays the activities network-wide.

Tip

You can also mark objects in the network editor for which you want to open a profile and open the view via the shortcut menu.

Use the symbols to determine whether the profile view shall be synchronized with other windows.

You can use the symbol to specify that only those elements (e.g. vehicle journeys) are displayed where the start AND the end are located at a reference object.

Example stop: The vehicle journey starts AND ends at one of the stops.

Edit the graphical display as desired (Setting graphic parameters for profiles). Here you can classify the display according to an attribute.

Use the symbol to display the entire specified time range.

Open a layout of a profile or save the current layout to a file (Saving and opening the layout of profiles).

From / To

Specify the desired time slot for the display.

Time range

Select one of the two options for the display.

  • Closed: If the time range is closed, elements that extend beyond the specified time are drawn at the beginning of the time range. If, for example, the time range is from 0:00 to 24:00, activities that start at 23:50 and last 20 minutes will be displayed with 10 minutes ahead, from 0:00 to 0:10.
  • Open: If the time range is open, only elements within the specified time range are displayed. If necessary, elements are cut off at the beginning or end of the defined period if they exceed it.

Filter formula

You can use a formula to filter the set of displayed network objects of the selected type. All objects that correspond to the specified formula are displayed.

Click the symbol to create your formula.

Resolution

Enter the desired resolution.

The start and end times set for each network object type are rounded to the set time resolution (e.g. 5 min).

Detail view

A disaggregated view is available below the temporal distribution. This detail view resolves the summary of the activities and draws the individual activities separately. The selected class and the selected time limit the number of activities displayed.

Selected class

If this entry is selected, all activities of the class selected in the temporal distribution are displayed in the detailed view, regardless of the time.

Selected class and time

If this entry is selected, only activities of the class selected in the temporal distribution that intersect with the selected point in time are displayed in the detail view.

Selected time

If this entry is selected, the activities of all classes at the selected time are displayed in the detail view.

All (no filter)

Select this option to show all activities.
