Specifying settings for 3D graphics

You can specify the following settings for 3D graphics:

1.  From the Edit menu, choose User preferences.

The User preferences window opens.

2.  In the navigator, click GUI > 3D graphics.

3.  Make the desired changes.

Element

Description

Activate antialiasing

If this option is selected, the occurrence of aliasing caused by the screen resolution is reduced.

The option also increases the quality of the video recording and reduces the recording speed.

3-D graphic interface:

Here you can select the desired graphics interface:

OpenGL 3.0/DirectX 11

DirectX.11 is used by default. DirectX.11 enables access to Visum via remote desktop in 3-D view.

Note

The change of the setting only takes effect once you restart PTV Visum.

4.  Confirm with OK.

The settings are applied.

Note: On systems with multiple graphics cards, the higher-performance graphics card is automatically requested for Visum, so that a 3-D display is possible without special configuration of the system.
