If you wish to carry out accident predictions, for each link, the respective APM link type must be assigned to the APM link type attribute.
You may assign an APM link type to one selected link or to several links of the same type. To do so, you can apply a filter to obtain the desired links or select several links. You may also simultaneously assign all links to an APM link type.
1. Depending on whether you wish to assign selected, filtered or all links to an APM link type, carry out the following step:
- To assign an APM link type to one or several links, select the link(s) of your choice.
- To assign an APM link type to links that meet the filter criterion, filter the links(Filtering links), (Switching on or off the link filter).
- To assign an APM link type to a link sequence, select the desired link sequence (Determining the link sequence).
- To assign an APM link type to all links, make sure no links are selected.
2. In the Safety section, right-click the Links button.
3. From the shortcut menu, choose Edit link types.
The Edit APM link type window opens. Next to Affected links, the number of selected or filtered links and the number of all links are displayed.
If you have not marked any links, the number of affected links corresponds to the number of all links.
If all relevant links have been allocated to the same APM link type, the latter is displayed in the APM link type list box. If this is not the case, Unknown is displayed.
4. In the Edit APM link type window, check whether the number of affected links is the number of links you want to assign to the same APM link type.
5. If the number is incorrect, select the links of your choice or adjust the filter criteria.
6. If the number is correct, in the APM link type list, click the entry of your choice.
The APM link type is assigned to the links in both directions of travel.
7. Leave the Edit APM link type window open, until you have assigned all desired APM link types to the various types of links.
