Detector Definitions

Detector Number

The detector number that should be used within Vissim to call or extend the vehicle signal groups selected. There are 64 available vehicle detectors.

Delay

Causes the detector to require continuous presence for the delay duration before it calls signal groups.

Called SGs

Signal Groups that are called when the detector input is on.

Extended SGs

The amount of time that the Extend signal group will be extended after the detector input is off. See Detector Mode for alternate uses of the Extend time for different modes.

Detector Number

The detector number that should be used within Vissim to call the pedestrian signal groups selected. There are 16 available pedestrian detectors.

Called SGs

This parameter defines the pedestrian signal groups that are called when the detector input is on.

Port Number

Port number of a detector. This detector can be a vehicle detector as well but it does not have to. It works similar to a presence detector of a preempt input.

Delay On

Time in s the vehicle detector must be occupied until the preempt is activated.

Delay Off

Time in s the vehicle detector must be free until the preempt is finished.

Activated Preempt

Reference of exactly one preempt by number.
