Attributes of dynamic routing decisions

  • ►  On the Lists menu, click > Private Transport > Routes > Dynamic Routing Decisions.

The list of attributes opens.

The attribute and attribute values of this network object type are shown in the list on the left, which consists of two coupled lists.

Note: In lists, you can use the  Attribute selection icon to show and hide attribute values (Selecting attributes and subattributes for columns of a list).

The list on the left may include the following attributes:

Column Description
No Number of dynamic routing decision
Name Name of dynamic routing decision
Link Number of the link, on which the dynamic routing decision is located
Pos Distance of dynamic routing decision to the beginning of link or connector
AllVehTypes

If this option is selected, all vehicle types follow the vehicle routing decision or partial vehicle routing decision.

The option All Vehicle Types is a virtual vehicle class that automatically includes all new vehicle types and vehicle types that have not been assigned a vehicle class yet.

VehClasses Valid vehicle classes
Condition

If the following condition is met, Vissim carries out a new parking lot and path selection:

  • Destination is zone of parking lot: The vehicle’s destination is the zone in which the parking lot selected in the Condition parking lot is located.
  • Destination parking lot full: There are no free parking spaces in the parking lot that is the vehicle's destination.
  • Destination parking lot fewer than: There are fewer free spaces in the parking lot that is the vehicle's destination than specified in the Available spaces attribute
  • Parking lot full: There are no free spaces in the parking lot currently assigned to the vehicle.
  • Parking lot fewer than: There are fewer free spaces in the parking lot that is assigned to the vehicle than specified in the Available spaces attribute.
  • Always: When the routing decision is passed, Vissim always carries out a new parking lot and path selection
CondParkLot Condition parking lot: Name of parking lot specified in the attribute Destination is zone of parking lot.
AvailSpaces Available spaces: Enter number of free parking spaces for the conditions Destination parking lot fewer than and Parking lot fewer than
Strategy

If the selected condition from the Condition attribute is met: Strategy according to which Vissim carries out the new path and parking lot selection:

  • Same zone, different parking lot (random): Parking lot is selected evenly from all the parking lots of the current zone. The current destination parking lot is not taken into account.
  • Same zone, any parking lot by benefit function: The parking lot is selected based on the calculated benefit of the path in the current zone. Vissim takes the current destination parking lot into account.
  • Same zone, other parking lot by benefit function: The parking lot is selected based on the calculated benefit of the path in the current zone. Vissim does not take the current destination parking lot into account.
  • Any zone, parking lot by benefit function: The parking lot is selected based on the calculated benefit of the path in other zones. Vissim takes the current destination parking lot into account, if it is located in another zone.
  • Any zone, other parking lot by benefit function: The parking lot is selected based on the calculated benefit of the path in other zones. Vissim does not take the current destination parking lot into account.
  • New route to destination parking lot
  • Specified parking lot: Parking lot specified in the Strategy parking lot

With the strategies for benefit, parking lot search is based on a choice model (Defining the destination parking lot selection) Closed parking lots are not taken into account.

StratParkLot Strategy parking lot: Parking lot for the strategy Specified parking lot, on the basis of which Vissim carries out the path and parking lot selection.
ExclFullParkLots Exclude full parking lots: Full parking lots are not considered for route choice
Showing and editing dependent objects as relation

The list on the right contains attributes and attribute values of network objects allocated to the network object selected in the list on the left (Using coupled lists).

Among others, these may include the following attributes:

  • Vehicle classes (Defining the vehicle class)
  • Paths: Paths of path file from dynamic assignment If no paths are shown and you have performed dynamic assignment, you can read in the paths from their path file. To do so, read in the paths via the Paths list shortcut menu (Attributes of paths).

1.  On the list toolbar, in the Relations list, click the desired entry.

2.  Enter the desired data.

The data is allocated.
