By default, Vissim saves 3D models to the ..\exe\3DModels directory during the installation.
Static 3D models in file formats *.v3d, *.skp and *.fbx may contain animations. When these animations are defined in Vissim, they are decomposed into their individual states.
The depiction of 3D models requires more computation time. This is why switching to the 3D mode might take a few seconds.
You can add 3D models of the following file formats:
Supported file format | Model file |
---|---|
*.v3d | Vissim-3D |
*.fbx |
Autodesk Filmbox format |
*.skp |
SketchUp- files *.skp can be imported, edited and loaded into the network.
|
*.3ds | Autodesk 3ds Max |
*.dwf | Autodesk Design Web Format as of version 6.01 |
In 3D mode, you can also display buildings provided by the activated map provider (List of 3D graphic parameters). If these buildings overlay your building models, you can select and hide buildings from the map provider.
