Activating live maps from the Internet

1.  Check that your computer has an active Internet connection.

2.  Make sure the reference point of the live map is not identical with the reference point of the network (Assigning a live map if reference points are identical).

3.  On the Network editor toolbar, click the Edit basic graphic parameters button .

The list of graphic parameters opens (List of base graphic parameters for network editors).

4.  Select the option  Show map.

A live map from the Internet is shown in the Network Editor.

5.  In the Map provider list, click the desired map service.

Element	Description
Default map service	Download and display BingMap map
PTV Default	Standard map of PTV Planung Transport Verkehr GmbH showing the geographical context
Bing Maps (aerophoto)	Download and display BingMap map
PTV Blackmarble	Dark map showing the geographical context
PTV Gravelpit	This map displays additional names of places and streets.
PTV Silica	Bright map showing the geographical context
WMS	Digital topographic map with scales ranging from 1:250,000 to 1:1,000,000.

A live map from the selected map service is shown in the Network Editor.

If the map service copyright data is shown in the Network Editor but no live map is shown, check your Internet connection.

6.  Click next to the list when you want to close it.

Tip: After you select a map provider and the live map is displayed, you can use the Toggle background maps button on the Network editor toolbar to display or hide the live map (Network editor toolbar).
