Setting windows connection

You can establish a connection between two maps.

Through the connection, one map (sender) provides data to a connected map (receiver).

  1. Open the first map (sender).
  2. Set the active layers on the sender map.
  3. Open the second map (receiver).
  4. Set the active layers on the receiver map.
  5. From the toolbar of the sender map (step 1), drag and drop the Publish data to component icon on the receiver map (step 3).

The Choose Channels pop-up window opens, displaying the list of channels for providing data from sender to receiver.

  6. Select the desired entries.

  7. Click OK to confirm the selection.

Tip:  When the connection is established, the transmission icons (, , ) are active on both maps.

On the receiver map, you can view the results of some actions performed on the sender map.

For example, if you have selected the channel Zoom (step 6) and you zoom on the sender map, the same level of zoom is applied to the receiver map.

Important:  During the connection, you can modify the configuration of both maps (for example, you can add or delete layers).
