Interfaces

The Interface module is a component aimed to connect PTV Optima with external source of traffic data that can be processed by other Optima modules.

The Interface module:

• Implements several protocols for traffic and event data exchange.
• Provides automatic data conversion from and to different formats (DATEX, DATEX II, SI.MO.NE.)
• Can georeference traffic data and events to the traffic message channel (TMC)

In PTV Optima are present:

• Standard interfaces: shipped automatically at installation time.
• Optional interfaces: that can be added after the common PTV Optima installation process.

For every interface (standard or optional), is documented:

• The configuration process.
• The methodology for the management of the interface.

For the optional interfaces is provided also the description of the installation process associated to the specific optional interface

The Interface module has been built as an HTTP REST web service with Java EE technology.
