Optima Micro integration requisites
The integration requisites must be fulfilled to have a reliable and working environment.
Virtualization environment
All components of the framework must be based on robust hardware resources, especially for Optima Micro Workers nodes.
We provide a benchmark simulation to test the performance of the virtual environments.
Upon uncompressing Micro-XX.Y.ZZZZZ.zip, in the folder Micro-XX.Y.ZZZZZ\tools you can find a the filebenchmark-simulation.zip.
By uncompressing benchmark-simulation.zip, you can validate whether the performance of an Optima Micro Worker server (virtual or physical) is sufficient for usage with PTV Optima Micro.
To perform a test, run the instructions in the file Micro-XX.Y.ZZZZZ\tools\benchmark-simulation\_benchmark-simulation.txt.
Time zones
Time zones and clocks on all Optima servers:
- Optima AS
- Optima DB
- Optima TRE
- Optima Micro components
must be synchronized by a NTP server.
For virtual environments, the clocks of the underlying hardware must also be synchronized.
Optima Micro relies on timestamps to distribute work items and identify timeouts. Correct behavior can only be guaranteed if the time zones of all servers are identical and the system clocks have a maximum difference of 1 second.
